Maintenance Guide For Foam-Foam Insulated Metal Carved Boards

As a company with extensive experience in metal decorative materials, Dibaier has repeatedly observed through after-sales follow-ups that most issues regarding the aging of panel finishes stem not from inherent product defects, but from improper daily maintenance. Therefore, please adhere to these three rules for daily cleaning:

First, prioritize the choice of tools over the choice of cleaning agents. The textured grooves on the carved metal surface provide visual depth but also serve as hiding spots for dirt. When cleaning, use a soft microfiber cloth or a brush with medium-stiffness bristles, wiping gently in a single direction along the grain of the texture.

Second, avoid cleaning agents that are highly acidic or alkaline. We recommend using a neutral cleaner with a pH between 6.5 and 8.0, diluted before use. Acidic ingredients can corrode the metal finish, while overly alkaline solvents can damage the surface's passivation layer, accelerating oxidation and discoloration. For oily stains or stubborn adhesive residue, a small amount of industrial alcohol may be used for spot cleaning.

Third, strictly avoid high-temperature or high-pressure washing. Although the product is water-resistant, the impact from a high-pressure water jet can damage the delicate structures along the carved edges, and high-temperature steam may compromise the bonding stability between the composite layers. Under normal circumstances, a damp cloth (wrung out well) combined with a neutral cleaner is sufficient for most cleaning needs.

There are two actions you must absolutely avoid; we classify these as prohibited:

Do not apply double-sided tape, foam tape, or suction-cup mounts directly to the panel surface. Removing such adhesives carries a high risk of tearing off the metal finish layer.

Do not allow the surface to air-dry after cleaning; you must promptly wipe it dry with a soft, dry cloth. Otherwise, mineral deposits from the water can form scale stains within the carved grooves, which are extremely difficult to remove later.

The essence of maintenance lies in prevention rather than remediation; a quality product requires proper maintenance to truly shine.
